Sept-Oct / The Poems We Spin:
Playing with Point of View virtual workshop
In this generative workshop, we will write from multiple points of view, from the stories we tell about ourselves to the stories others hold. I will share how I use different points of view in my own work to tap into deep emotion and how you can do the same. While sometimes it can be scary to see ourselves from the outside, I hope you will leave the workshop seeing how fun it can be to step into another’s shoes. This workshop is meant to challenge you to dive deep into the emotional core of your poetry, but also to bring out your playful side.

Our Past Selves virtual workshop

This generative workshop is part poetry, part memoir. This workshop is designed to gently help you tell your story through poems. We will use poetry to dig deep into our past and our present selves to identify our different selves and write about them. In the end, we will take those different selves and arrange them into a story. If you have a story to tell, but writing a memoir feels overwhelming, or you want to try something new, then this workshop is for you.
